SENIOR WARDEN
This "station" in the Lodge is second only in importance to that of the Worshipful Master. It is not that
he is charged with a great many duties but rather the importance of the duties which might come to rest on his
shoulders. Should anything happen to the Worshipful Master during his term, the Senior Warden must
assume the Master's responsibilities and will be obliged to discharge all the functions normally handled by the
Master.
As Senior Warden, this Brother, together with the Master and Junior Warden, has the right to
represent the Lodge at Grand Lodge. In addition, he and the other two principle Officers of the Lodge form a
standing committee on Education and Primary Schools and also the Board of Relief for their Lodge. He also
is Chairman of the Finance Committee and has responsibility over the Craft during the hours of labor.
