Well Brethren, its November already, man does time sure fly. It just seems like yesterday that I was getting installed as Master of Winter Garden, and here it is already almost time to install a new Master. The elections will be held on December 4, 2008 mark this date on your calendars and make every effort to attend and cast your vote.
For you Past Master’s and Officers of the Lodge, remember the day that you were installed? Remember how proud you were that your Brethren had enough confidence in you to elect you to your positions. I know I sure do. Show your support for the up and coming officers of your Lodge by attending the meetings, ask some questions.I know that it is hard to come to all of the meetings sometimes, but Brethren, do you remember how it made you feel when there you were sitting in your positions and the sidelines were almost empty? I know I sure do.
In today’s times and with all everyone has to worry about, I know where I can go and discuss my problems and have good fellowship. My Lodge. Remember Brethren, YOU ARE THE LODGE, without YOU the Lodge is nothing but an empty building. Masonry survives because of you.
It takes more than just dues money to be a Mason, remember, it takes a little time (to attend Lodge) and a little commitment to do your part i.e. being on a board or committee, doing what is needed around the Lodge, helping to do what it takes to ensure your Lodge survives and thrives. How about making a renewed effort to support what you must obviously believe in, you’re Masonic Fraternity and the Masonic way of life.
Fraternally, WM Buddy Smith
P.S. Don’t forget about our up coming Christmas parade. Bro. Quillinan is chairing this event; if you would like to help or donate some decorations please contact him or the Lodge for dates and times.
Greetings Brothers, well, summer is over and it is cooling down. Time to get out and do things. How about coming to Lodge this month. Your Lodge needs you and your Brethren need you. If it’s been a while since you’ve came out to visit, you might need us as much as we need you. Think back to what it was like when you came to Lodge every meeting. Well we are still here, sharing the fun and fellowship. We are still having a great dinner on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. Why not make this month the month you come back to Lodge, your Brothers miss you.
Fraternally,
W:. Scott Penvose, SW PM
Brothers, As always, Deserts, and Salads would be appreciated, and of course your attendance would be nice.
Fraternally,
